Q: Who can benefit from our service?

  • Anyone who is new to Medicare and overwhelmed about choosing the best Medicare plan.
  • Anyone who has multiple chronic conditions which they are taking medications for, regardless of age and insurance status.
  • Anyone who is concerned about medication interactions and the cost of their medications.

Q: What will be covered in my initial consultation?

  • JOYS will review all your medication, both prescription and over-the-counter.
  • We will assess drug interactions, side effects, and if you are taking any medications unnecessarily.
  • We will also educate you about your Medicare choices, including Medicare parts A, B, C and D as well as any Medigap plans. If a Medigap plan is needed, we will help you choose which of 11 plans is most suitable for you.

Q: How much does the initial consultation cost?

  • An initial sit-down consultation meeting is $80.00 which includes one full hour of informative and progressive service.

Q: What do I need to have ready for my appointment?

  • All prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Medical conditions
  • Insurance cards
  • Cost of insurance premiums, deductibles and co-pays

Q: Where do we meet for consultations?

  • Consultations are by appointment only and are usually held at my office, 26 1/2 E. Prospect St. in Nazareth, but it is possible to meet at your home.

Q: Can I buy your service for my parents?

  • Absolutely! In fact, many times a daughter or son will hire me to give them and their parents peace of mind.

Q: Does JOYS offer services other than medication and Medicare review?

  • Yes. We will stay with you throughout the entire process if desired. This may include, but is not limited to:
  1. Calling your doctor(s) to make changes to your medication.
  2. Finding programs to lower your drug copayments.
  3. Comparing Medigap/Medicare Advantage/Medicare Part D drug plans to find the best price and enrolling you in those plans.

Q: Does JOYS provide medical advice?

  • No. Your doctor provides the diagnosis and JOYS will guide you to the most appropriate medications and insurance plans customized for your specific health and financial needs.

Q: Does JOYS receive commission for signing me up for insurance plans?

  • Yes, a licensed insurance agent, we receive commissions from healthcare related insurance from Medicare Advantage, Medicare drug plans, and Medicare Supplement plans.  Commissions are similar for each category of health plans; therefore, rest assured that you will receive unbiased help.
